Our semi-custom handle line-up is built to hang with its big brother, fully custom tap handles. The main focus of this tap handle is to attract customers at bars and restaurants and make your handle stand out against other taps on the market. This handle is made from top to bottom to give you the exact look and feel you would expect from a fully custom tap. Whether you are in craft beer, kombucha, wine, coffee, or any draft item, this product can and will stand out.

We use top American-made and USA-sourced materials to build your product. The wood tap handle starts life as a standard piece of lumber grown right here in the USA. We then mill it down using our in-house CNC in Birmingham, Alabama.

Once the product is cut, we put our hands on it. We then run it through the finishing process where the tap gets sanded, hardware gets installed, and the color or finish gets applied and clear coated with a waterproof, UV-protected clear coat. Then it’s ready to receive your design or graphic.

Everything is carefully thought considered, from the materials to the finish to stability in the market or at your home dispenser. Many of our clients have started with this tap as their initial product and grown from here, expanding from 1 beer tap handle to 100's a month.

Are these tap handles the right fit for me?

Absolutely! As long as you have a draft line with liquid on tap that accepts a tap handle with your preferred craft beverage, this is the product for you. No matter if you are a home brewer, a beer nerd, or just like having nice things to fulfill your hop head needs, this product will work for you. If you are a craft beverage company that distributes craft beverages, we can brand this product for your client.

How long will the tap handles take to produce?

Each American-made tap handle takes 1-2 weeks to produce. However, we do need your instructions and input to make your tap handle. Once we have that, we can get started.

If you order more than 100 tap handles, it will take longer than 1-2 weeks because of the volume. It will typically take 2-4 weeks to arrive at your craft brewery, homebrew station, micro brewery, or homebrewer’s location.

Can I get my custom logo on my tap handle?

We can add your logo to these craft beer handles with no problem. The number of colors in your logo or image will not drive up the costs of your print. So yes, the price of the handle does cover the logo printed directly to your tap handle.

Once you purchase your tap, please send your logo to brad@steelcitytap.com or sawyer@steelcitytap.com, and they will get back to you with the mockup of your tap handle for approval. We do prefer that you send a .ai or .eps logo for the best possible quality.

We cannot make changes to the graphics that you provide and cannot redo your logo. If you need help with brushing up your logo, we will charge a design fee of $110 an hour with your permission, with a bill-by-the-hour minimum of 1 hour.

What if I don't have my a logo or graphics for my tap handle?

Our graphic design department can help you with this. We will be required to charge an hourly rate. Once the graphics are completed, you will be given the graphics package so you can use them for any other means. 

Can I paint my tap handle a custom color to match my brand?

Yes, we do offer the option to color match. It is an additional charge of $100. Color matching your brand will add 1-2 weeks to the production of your tap handle. Please send us your PMS or color swatch after placing your semi-custom tap handle order. Once this purchase is made, we will do our best to follow your instructions to a T.

What is UV printing, and is it suitable for my tap handle?

UV printing is suitable for your handle. It's food-safe and will not flake off over time. UV printing provides graphic protection from water damage and UV damage, with a five year protection of your color graphic.

What is the minimum order quantity?

There is no minimum order quantity for this product. That's right! You can get a one-off branded tap handle. We have seen people make these for their friends or their top accounts in the craft beverage industry. 

What if I want to order this product in bulk?

Large orders will take 2-4 weeks to process, depending on availability. We offer a discount for bulk orders of 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, and 100 units.
